SATURDAY 8PM SHOWS

The Saturday 8pm shows are the future of improv in the city. Meaning that we bring in the newest and youngest and give them a chance.

The MANITOBA IMPROV LEAGUE has been giving high school students a place to learn improv and perform improv since 1999 and have now turned their attention to the next step. Every week a new featured group takes the stage and puts on their show (the best classroom is the stage).

THE FRIDAY MIDNIGHT SHOWS

FEB 24 OUTSIDE JOKE
MAR 3 THE JIST
MAR 10 MERRY'S MEN
MAR 17 ST PATTY'S DAY SHOW
MAR 24 OUTSIDE JOKE
MAR 31 CLASSIC McINTYRE SHOW

WHO ARE THE WHO:

THE JIST - Jefferson Sinclair, Jarrett Miller and RobYn Slade formed this group after members of 204 left the city (Grewg to Toronto and Q-base to London, England). Ever since thier debut at the 2005 Winnipeg IF... Improv Festival, they have been tearing up stages.

MERRY'S MEN - Merry has brought her merry band of improvisers together to do shows much like Robin Hood. Improv that steals from the rich and gives to the poor.

ALWAYS GEORGE - There once was an improv troupe named ACME, they don't exist anymore. Instead the world has ALWAYS GEORGE to please them with the funny.

IMPROVISION - This three person group has been performing in the city for years and are a bonefide Fringe festival hit. Short form improv never looked so good (and never will again).

OUTSIDE JOKE - This group has been around for a little while now and has turned some heads. They are the young fresh face of long form improv in the city. These kids are pros.

STEVE MCINTYRE - Steve McIntyre is the Winnipeg Godfather of improv. Starting the scene off here when people didn't even know what improv was. Building the foundation on good scenes, no gags and real theatre instead of just the jokes. He has invented his own style of improv where he does it with anyone from the audience (yes, anyone). C'mon and give it a try.

ST PATTY'S DAY SHOW - This show will be done in Irish accents... seriously.

Awesome? Yes, awesome. Be at the shows folks...

I am a psychic robot...

I am however a psychic robot controlled, designed and programmed by Lee White (Master of the Universe "He-man")

I am not a psychic machine...

I can only spew out the messages i receive. I can't just predict the winning lottery numbers or tell you how you will die (car accident). The visions come to me in dreams, in mysterious code. I didn't "ask" for this "gift" i "didn't" want "this", it just "happens".

P.S. the CRUMBS show on Saturday can be good, but I am not sure if it should be good.

p.p.s. winning lottery numbers are 4 11 18 23 32 42

p.p.p.s the CRUMBS show on Saturday will be good... it should be anyways...

I am a psychic...

So there have been some posts concerning our predictions (and how they suck). Well let me just first mention that last year i did successfully predict the pope's death (and I predicted this as a psychic and not a comedien). The Blue Bombers winning the Grey Cup was actually a prediction that was called into our radio show (by Satchel Paige).

Psychics (and prophets) have been persecuted and made fun of since the very first prophet predicted that people would make fun of predictions (thus establishing the very first self fufilling prophecy).

Comedians have, for years, been accused of either joking around to much when they should be serious or being too serious when they should be joking around (after all they are comedians).

This has got to stop!

Comedians can be taken seriously and have psychic abilities, real phychic abilities that come to them when they are dreaming (like dreaming of the future and having the Pope show up in his dreams and bug the hell outta him).

Predictions for 2006

So it is turning into somewhat of a tradition for CRUMBS to put out predictions for the coming year. Lee and I have done this one our radio show. (radio show on Mondays at Noon CST on 101.5 UMFM) This year is is going to be a good one folks.

Last year we successfully predicted the death of Pope John Paul II and ever since then, the world has been eagerly awaiting the CRUMBS forecast.

DEATHS:
Dick Clark
Dick Cheney
Queen Elizabeth II (everyone will then hatee King Charles)
The Pope (again... we will go through a bunch of Popes over the next couple years)
Larry King (live on the air)
A very famous young man will die tragically (James Dean/River Pheonix)

BIRTHS:
The first (to be) famous person born in 2006 will be huge internet actor who will be the star of his/her very own iPod TV show.

MISC:
The Winnipeg Jets will return to Winnipeg
The Winnipeg Blue Bombers will win the Grey Cup
The Canadian Election will be marred by contraversy
The Internet will crash
There will be a whole new musical revolution

More predictions to come as they become clearer...
